As a Teachers association, the LEA is committed to elevating teaching to a highly respected position among other professions. It stands without apology for advocating teacher rights, the teacher role in helping determine school curriculum, negotiating adequate salaries, fringe benefits, working conditions, and assuring teachers of job security.
